Originally from Russia, Andreas Schmidt is now firmly established as a dancer, choreographer and teacher in Northern Germany, and has been very successful in dance competitions while training at CDSH - Contemporary Dance School Hamburg.
After winning in Saarland in 2018 with his pieces "Gender" and "Neid", he holds the title of current German champion in both the category solo, as in the category duet together with his partner Kristina Krieger (also a graduate of CDSH). With his piece "Flashback", he was a finalist at the IDO world championship in Ossa, Poland in 2017. As a choreographer, Andreas has regularly created pieces for jazz and modern dance (JMD) formations. His creations, including "youbelieveher", "Rumours" and "Nightshift" were performed at international competitions. Andreas will complete his professional training at CDSH in the summer of 2019.
